The RCBC Materials Exhange (RCBC Mex)
The RCBC Materials Exchange is a free waste matching service provided by the Recycling Council of BC (a non-profit organization). It helps businesses and households find alternatives to disposal for industrial by-products, surplus materials, and household, business or industrial waste. An individual or company can call to list their request, or the materials they wish to get rid of. Individuals can also access the website to view any materials they may require.
At RCBC, we believe that one company’s garbage is another’s gold. The RCBC Mex provides a way for the two to find each other. It’s like a dating service for waste!
In 2003, the RCBC MEX helped keep 3,319 tonnes of waste out of BC landfills!
